Future Collect - transforming the culture of commissioning and collecting in British galleries and museums

Future Collect was a three-year programme led by Institute of International Visual Arts London (iniva) designed to create a dynamic new model to transform the culture of commissioning and collecting within museums to reflect the diversity of Britain. Project partners Manchester Art Gallery, The Hepworth and the Towner commissioned and collected and exhibited the work of an artist of African and/or Asian descent, British born or based giving an opportunity for an artist to be collected and exhibited by a major British institution contributing to a wider public debate on collections and whose heritage is being preserved. This commission involved leading on the evaluation design, analysis and reporting. This included bringing together partners organisation ensure timely and consistent reflection on delivery and practice to identify learning and inform delivery.
